Important
Always read the release notes carefully before upgrading!
Upgrading to bugfix releases within one supported branch (e.g. from 2.8.0 to 2.8.1) may be done by upgrading the packages with
[root] #rpm -Uvh <packageName>
Now dCache needs to be started again.
For major upgrades please
- use The Ultimate Golden Release Upgrade Guide I to upgrade from 1.9.5 to 1.9.12.
- use the The Ultimate Golden Release Upgrade Guide II to upgrade from 1.9.12 to 2.2.
- use the The Ultimate Golden Release Upgrade Guide III to upgrade from 2.2 to 2.6.
- use the /opt to /usr migration guide to migrate from the /opt layout to the fhs-compliant layout.
